How to get rid of spots... fast!

Hi guys, so yes, recently my skin has not been at its best. I've been really struggling to keep my skin clear and spot free, and its working, my skin is definitely improving!! I thought today i would share with you some of the things i do to help my skin become spot-free fast!

1- Get into a steady morning and night skin routine. Whatever you do make sure you have a steady routine where you clean your face every morning and night. You should exfoliate and moisturise (at least) every morning, and exfoliate, cleanse, moisturise and apply some sort of spot cream over spots at night. If you stick to a tight routine you will see instant improvements!

2- Apply a face mask once a week. Whatever type of face mask you like, try to apply one once a week, or even once a fortnight. This will help go the extra mile to keep your skin clean, moisturised and healthy.

3- Ice your problem areas. By problem areas i mean any areas where you have spots, redness or enlarged pores. By putting 4/5 ice cubes in a plastic sandwich bag and gently pressing it onto your problem areas, you can calm down redness and help spots to dry up and be on there way. I try to do this 2/3 times on relaxing days at home.

4- Add toothpaste to your spotty areas. Yes, toothpaste! Apply a thin layer of white toothpaste to your spots/ spotty areas and after half an hour wash it off with cool water and a flannel. This sounds stupid but can really help. Why pay for expensive spot creams when you have something in your bathroom that does the job or you!

These are just a few ideas of ways to get your skin clear! Hope this helps any of you struggling with annoying spots or acne. But you shouldn't worry too much about spots, everyone gets them and its natural! Love your body, face and everything about you!

Wild Thing

Hi guys, today i thought id do another trend report style post, exploring the fur's of this season.
If you real Vogue, Elle or any other big fashion magazine you will have probably noticed that fur is everywhere, in fact if you walked into a high street store such as Topshop, River Island or New Look you will have noticed the copious amounts of fur on display. From shaggy shearling to luxe Ponyskin, whatever you want, you will find it this season. Autumn fashion is one of my favourite seasons, still warm enough to wear dresses, but cool enough to shrug on the knits and jackets and layer up your outfit. If your going to invest in a jacket this autumn, make sure its fur. I have been rather tempted by the allure of the aviator shearling style. But the leopard print furs are back and bold! However when it comes to leopard, go for a thinner, more luxe looking style. If you study the designer catwalks like me you will have also noticed Gucci's huge blue shaggy jacket. This has been in every magazine under the sun and helped to bring this style into fashion.

However I'm sure most of you reading this don't have the thousands of pounds needed to buy this jacket, so here are some more purse friendly versions on the high street to give you some inspiration!

Graceous Girl Talk: Let's talk about YOU!

Hi everyone, so i had an idea that i thought would just be really nice to do every month or so as just a kind of help/advice series. I decided to call it Graceous Girl Talk, as i'll basically just be talking about things i think are really important for girls to know and talk about. As i say i'll be doing a new one of these roughly once a month on a different topic each time, these will be motivational/helpful to all you girls (i hope!)

So today i think its time to talk about you. Obviously i don't personally know you, but thank you for reading this post! I am an only child and i like to spend a lot of time by myself, and i have bought myself so many valuable lessons that i thank myself for. Whatever you want to do, you can do it. Do whatever you want and don't let other people stop you. You just have to always put yourself first, say to yourself, do i really like this? Is this what i want? Am i happy with this? And do what you feel is right. It's a lot braver to step away from the crowd rather than hiding in it. This summer i have done a lot of finding myself and who i really am and now i know exactly what i want from myself. Take the time to get to know yourself a little bit better, love yourself, care for yourself and be the best self you can. As once you know yourself you can be a whole lot more comfortable and confident. Don't be afraid to do what others are not. Don't be afraid to be unique! In my opinion originality is the key to success, so why be anyone but yourself! I read this quote a while ago, and it said that if you are your own best friend you are never alone. Which i think is so true and so important to remember. You are amazing exactly the way you are, do not let other people change you. Take other peoples advice on board but nobody knows you like yourself. Girls your all beautiful, and take a minute after reading this and just take a deep breath, remember all the amazing things you've done and don't regret a single thing, you may well have made mistakes in the past but thats okay, that makes you who you are now. Don't trust anyone more than you trust yourself. people come and go but your with yourself your entire life. You came together you leave together, you are you and only you and when you take a step back you'll see that there is beauty all around you if you look for it. Be brave, sensible, clever and original. You will find that life is an amazing thing, and you wouldn't want to be anyone but yourself.

I hope you liked this post, its bit different to what i usually do but there'll be a summer favourites post going up on Sunday.

Thank you to everyone reading this, i love you all.

On The Go: Quick, Cute Hairstyle.

Hellooo, so its time for the last instalment of the On The Go series, I hope you liked it! Let me know what you thought! Today's post is a cute really quick hairstyle which you can just go too when you don't know what to do with your hair!

So all you need for this hairstyle is a hairbrush, two clear elastics, some scissors and a piece of ribbon.

First of all you need to go ahead and take the front section of your hair and bring to the back of your hair and tie it with a clear elastic into a pony tail- just as you would with a half up half down hairstyle. Then split the ponytail into three sections and just do a simple braid all the way down until your about a inch from the end of the hair. Secure it with the other clear elastic. Then you take the scissors and cut the elastic at the top to give you a messier finnish. You could pull pieces out around your face to give it a more messy look. Finally, you just need to take your piece of ribbon and tie it onto the end of your plait to just make it a little bit prettier!

Quick, easy, cute hairstyle done!

On the Go: Quick, simple outfit idea.

Hey guys, today it's time for the second post in my On The Go series, and its a really quick and easy outfit idea that you can just throw on in a rush! This is probably more suited to s/s but you could definitely add layers to make it warmer!

So your going to need to start off with a massive t-shirt, long enough to wear as a dress. You can buy actual T-shirt dresses but i like the look of oversized vintage/retro tshirts.
So go ahead and through this on, and they just grab a basic mid wash denim jacket and stick this on if its cold-ish. If not you could tie it around your waist.
If you have a felt floppy hat add this to make your outfit a bit more polished.
For shoes the easiest thing is trainers, so converse, nike's or even basic pumps do the job perfectly.
If its a little colder outside which in england it often is, try adding leggings/tights and ankle boots. You could also add a hoody under-neath your jacket.

I hope this was useful, as everyone has those days when you just have nothing to wear!!

Thank you for your support as always,

On The Go: Brow Definition

Hi guys, so I've decided to do a little series of posts called the 'On The Go' series, this will include 3 posts on quick, easy makeup hair and fashion cheats for when you need to fly out the door! Todays post is all about brows, and how to shape, define and fill in brows quickly and easily!

Step 1- Take a matte eyeshadow the same colour or slightly darker than your natural eye brows and roughly fill in the colour all over, don't worry about making it too perfect, and don't extend them yet, just get the basic filling in done. This instantly makes your brows stand out more.

Step 2- To neaten them up a little take a brow comb and comb through all of your brows, gently teasing and shaping the hairs into the desired shape. Take care on this step to get them even and sleek. This also removes any excess powder clogging your brows.

Step 3- This step is optional. If you feel you need to extend your eyebrow shape, take a small angled brush with your eyeshadow again and carefully draw in your extra brow shape. This may be for when you have a little more time as if you do it too quickly you can completely mess up the shape!

Step 4- The last step is to take a clear mascara and just brush through your brows with the mascara to set and hold you brows all day long. the clear mascara acts as a gel and is so easy to apply. You an get clear mascara in a lot of stores, but my personal favourite is by the Natural Collection, its actually a clear mascara for conditioning lashes, which helps to keep your brows healthy too, and bonus its only £1.99, bargain!

So thats it for todays post,  I do this nearly every day to my eyebrows and it just looks so effortless and natural which I really like! There will be a Natural Collection brand review post coming soon so look out for that!

Thank you to everyone who has messaged me about my blog, it really means so much to me to get those lovely messages from people so thank you all my lovelies! A lot of people have been asking whether i am actually going to start my youtube now and at the moment i will not be, I'm really sorry if you wanted to see it but I've got lots of ideas and i just want to save them all for when i'm ready and will have the time to upload regularly and make the best videos i can. When i do decide to do it i want to be prepared and ready and at the moment i'm just enjoying focussing on my blog and making it as good as i can. I will also be redesigning my blog this week so keep checking out to see the new design!

New season shopping: Autumn trends, what to buy and how to work it!

Hey guys, sorry i didn't post on sunday, i was at the london dungeons all day and shopping at harrods :))) (you know how i loorrveee london <3) So today i thought id write about the new season, what to buy and how to wear it!

The Trends.
1970's- bright colours, tight trousers, turtle necks, culottes, flares.
1960's- Twiggy, brights, mini skirts, a-line dresses, shift dresses, adrogyny, Brigette Bardot.
Tailoring- little embellishment, grey, navy, monochrome, intimacy, sophistication, refined.
Texture Riot- feathers, fur, sheepskin, ponyskin, leather, faux, colour, textures, ott, shaggy, aviator.
Femininity- chiffon, knee length, chic coats, slouchy sweaters, blouses, seduction, elegance, corset lacing, roll necks.
Geometry- painterly, bold brushstrokes, abstract graffiti, motifs, strong, sharp, optic, angular, graphic, tough, bold colour, vibrant, brown.
New Classics- mid length skirt, tweed jacket, argyle, cable knit, duffel coat, brogue, oxfords, british sensibility, heritage fabrics.

What To Buy.
So above you'll find my favourite trends for the autumn/winter 14 season. There are a few pieces that will work in multiple trends, be your saviour items, and will work in any situation: an aviator, shearling lined jacket; a colourful shift dress; brown leather knee high boots; a grey/beige/white turtle neck top and a black or white sharp blazer.

How YOU Can Wear It.
Don't be scared! This season fashion is fun, flirty and has a definite 'don't care' attitude about it. From Karl Lagerfelds Chanel Shopping Market to Jeremy Scotts fast food fashion, this season anything goes as long as its chic. Whichever trend you choose to wear, do it well, even if you stick to one thing for the whole season, do it well. Invest in some key items and dig up your mums cupboard to find some real gems. Stick to clean lines and basic pieces if your nervous, but if your brave go all out and get some colour!! Look to Brigitte bardot, Twiggy and Audrey Hepburn for inspiration and have fun, thats what fashions for!!

I hope you found this post useful, be sure to give me a follow on instagram and give me a comment saying you came from my blog and i might just follow you back! Your support and views mean so much to me, i love this blog and i do so much research to give you guys the best ideas, reviews
and information. I'm only 8 views away from 2000, so keep viewing, press that +1 button!

Margate shopping haul!

Hi everyone, yesterday i was at my grandparents and they took me shopping to margate, which i have fallen in love with. Margate town is beautiful, and if your like me and you love vintage, its the place to be. Along King. St there are a large number of beautiful vintage shops, but unfortunately we went on a Monday when most things are closed in the area. We only really found one vintage shop that was open called Parapphanelia (i think!) the owner was so lovely and so helpful, i bought a beautiful red/blue check flannel shirt which he gave to me discounted at only £10!! Definitely worth a visit!
Then we went on to the Westwood shopping centre where there are so so may shops including topshop, river island, T K Maxx and primark. First off i went to super drug and purchased two cheap and cheerful items from MUA, a matte neutral palette and a pink rosy blush. Then i went to River Island and in the sale i found an adorable mickey mouse printed jumper, i loved it, and even though its very childish and silly i fell in love with it! Also in the sale i picked up two adorably cute midi rings which were so adorbs!! Then moving on to New Look, i don't normally shop in new look but i found the most beautiful scarf! Its a very large thick red classic tartan check print, and can be doubled up at a planket (see my blog post about plankets here) I love it, so warm and cosy! I then got my favourite film ever with my favourite person ever in… yes you guessed it Divergent on DVD. When i finnish writing this I'm gonna go get me some chocolate and watch it! I got it from HMV. The last thing i got was a really nice blue and white stripe print dress from primark. Its thick and cosy, perfect for autumn!

So thats it everyone, hope you enjoyed this haul, i am considering doing a youtube video on this, hmm not sure!

cheap and easy loom band choker!

Hey everyone, today I'm at my Nan's in the Kent area and while I've been here I brought some loom bands with me and decided to make some chokers! I started off with a pink and purple one, and then a black one. I've been wearing the black one all the time as it's simple and easy to wear. It also looks like chain link which is really cool. To make this put one band on one finger, twist around and put it on the finger next to it making a figure of eight, then put another band on normally next to them and pull the first band over each side of the one on top of it and repeat.
A really easy, wearable and cheap alternative to the ones you can buy in stores !

Get inspired! DIY Inspiration Book!

Hey guys, so today i decided to make myself a book full of inspiration, obviously it is not yet complete;y full but i made a start and i thought id give you some ideas on how you could give it a go!
So first of all i went to this super awesome shop called Tiger and got myself a medium square notebook. It has a kind of faux leather back and front. Then i went through some magazines and cut out some quotes and images and arranged them on the front cover. they could be whatever your interested in but i love fashion and beauty so thats what i chose. Then after sticking them all down i took some sticky back plastic and covered the front to leave a nice shiny finnish. Unfortunately i didn't do this all that well and ended up with some creases in the front, oopsie! Once you've decorated your book go ahead and start filling the pages with words, pictures, quotes, fabrics, materials, photographs, whatever makes you happy and gives you inspiration. Try to theme each page so you can flick to different pages for different inspiration. You can look on tumblr and see so many of these but i always think its nice to make your own!
Hope this gives you some inspiration!

Love you all, p.s my youtube should be going up in the next few days so keep your eyes peeled!!

I'm back in England! All about my holiday, Kos 2014!

Hey guys!! I'm so so so soooo sorry i haven't posted in so long but i promise regular uploads from now on! (see your even getting an extra post this week ;) ) So I'm back in England and i was greeted by the lovely lovely dull grey skies so typical in this country!! But, i did have an amazing holiday in Kos in Greece. So if any of you didn't know Kos is an Island in Greece which is actually really close to Turkey, you can see it from the beach! I stayed at the hotel called Blue Lagoon Resort, and it was so lovely. The pool there was amazing, it's the biggest on the whole island!

This only shows less than half off it but it was a beautiful pool and such a nice colour and shape. There was also an insight watermark which was so so much fun! The animation team their were so lovely and we spent a lot of our time participating in classes and chatting to Samantha, Emma, Katie, Lauren, Benji and Sebby, all dancers or singers who also performed in the evening shows. I spent a lot of time with Samantha especially, doing aqua gym with her every morning and she came and waved us off when we left. Definitely missing them all already!! The waiters and waitresses were lovely always supplying us with ample drinks, Camelia, Dirrini and Georgios were especially kind! The beach was so beautiful too, and we spent a lot of time messing around in the water, the waves were so choppy that they'd come right over your head and knock you right over! The sun beds on the beach were so so comfortable too, it was literally like a bed!

Kos itself is a beautiful island, its very lush with roses and lots of greenery, but also very mountainous too. Kos town is a lovely place, on one side of the gorgeous harbour (filled with luxury yaughts! ) You find an array of local and commercial shops selling everything from fake bags to olive oil soap! I must admit i had to get myself a fake Longchamp medium bag and a fake black Chanel purse, shh! On the other side of the island you will find the more historic side to the island, there is the castle and some old walls. However it is very sad to see so many stray cats :(

All together i had an amazing time and took lots of footage while i was there, and so i am going to try and edit it all together into a kind of Holiday Vlog on a youtube channel that i will be starting once i work out how to do channel art! Hope you enjoyed this post, talk to you tomorrow for another post, byeee x gk
